Implemented from 1 January 2019 through Government Resolution No. 7th-Pay/2019/CR-27/Ser-9. The revised pay scales became effective from this date.

All regular state government employees including teaching and non-teaching staff of government schools/colleges are covered. Contractual staff and daily wagers are not included.

No, only permanent Maharashtra government employees are eligible. Contractual workers continue under their existing terms unless regularized.

3% of (Basic Pay + Grade Pay) every July. The increment is calculated on the total of basic pay and grade pay.

34% as per latest revision (July 2023). DA is calculated on (Basic Pay + Grade Pay) and revised every 6 months based on All India Consumer Price Index.

Mumbai Metropolitan Region: 24% of basic pay, Pune/Nagpur/Aurangabad/Nashik: 16%, Other areas: 8%. HRA is revised when DA crosses 50% threshold.

₹15,000 annual medical reimbursement for OPD treatment. Hospitalization coverage up to ₹5 lakh through Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana.

50% of last drawn basic pay plus applicable DA. Maximum pension is 50% of highest pay in the state (₹1,07,950). Family pension is 30% of last basic pay.

Combination of seniority (70% weightage) and departmental exams (30% weightage). Time-bound promotions typically after 10 years of service.

Through GRAS (Government Receipt Accounting System) portal using employee credentials or by submitting application to Directorate of Accounts and Treasuries.

Expected in 2029 as per 10-year cycle, but may be revised earlier based on state fiscal policy and central government recommendations.

8% HRA + 5% special rural allowance of basic pay. Additional benefits include preferential transfers and faster promotions (1-2 years reduction in promotion period).
